Indoor Soccer

As of the fall of 2019 CVYS is proud to offer your child the ability to continue their soccer development over the winter months. For those of you that have never had your child play indoor I strongly encourage you to sign them up if they have enjoyed playing outdoor this fall. I personally have seen great improvement in the skill levels of the kids who have decided to play indoor over the winter vs kids who have not played. This is primarily because indoor soccer forces the player to make quicker decisions as it is a much faster game than outdoor. Our winter session consists of 12 games (one per week) starting around October 25th and going through December.  Games are held at different days and times depending upon age, but games are typically played on the weekends.   We may have a few practices for each team, but we generally do not practice every week, so it is a little less demanding from a time commitment perspective. We are asking all players to register for indoor through Blue Sombrero as quickly as possible.  We don’t have much time to get this planned.  Teams were due by October 1st , but we are extending it to Friday October 4th.  Costs will be $135 per player.  We will try to minimize uniform costs by leveraging travel and In-House jerseys depending on the age, but there could be additional uniform costs for some players and teams that will likely be between $10-$35.  Note, even if you indicated you interest in soccer during the Fall Registration, you still need to formally register again. Futsal is currently not affiliated with CVYS but is encouraged for year round play and development.  Coaches are often parent volunteers who organize teams for the various age groups.  Please be advised that application should be made in August as team demand is very high for Winter Soccer.  Most of the soccer arenas have team play for ages 6-18 years of age.
