Before the Season Starts
Before the session starts and after the draft, you will have your team roster. It's important to reach out early so parents can be prepared for the season. See the Team Letter template for an example email to send to your team. Make sure to ask for them to respond to the initial email, so you can be sure everyone received it.
First Team Meeting

Before Your First Practice
In the first contact you have with your team, it may also be beneficial to schedule a brief parents' meeting before or during your first practice. Please see the "First Team Meeting" checklist for items you may want to address at that first meeting.
Contact Information & Volunteers
Each team will have a TeamSnap created for them by our TeamSnap Coordinator. This will be the best way to share practice and game schedules, coordinator game day snack volunteers, and communicate with your team.
It's also beneficial to get a parent or two to volunteer to assist in coaching. Life is hectic and you may not be able to make every game, it's your responsibility to find a suitable fill in should the situation arise. Keep in mind any assistant coach/helper will need their own set of clearances to fill in for you should you be absent.
