Kid Safety -Clearances for Coaches
Scheduling of Practices & Games- Game schedules will be provided by your commissioners. Field times are coordinated by the in-house coordinator, in partnership with your commissioners. Once you've identified your ideal practice day and time, let your commissioner know.
SKILLS NIGHT- CVYS has SKILLS Night on nights during the season. Times for upcoming skills nights will be shared by head coaches. Player attendance is encouraged but not mandatory. SKILLS Night is a professionally run practice by a Youth Elite Soccer coach from BC United.
Cancellations- Cancellations due to inclement weather will be determined by the CVYS Board, Commissioners, and coaches. Soccer is an all-weather sport; however, in the case of lightning, games and practices will be immediately suspended. No player is permitted on the field until 30 minutes after the last spotted strike. League representatives will have the authority to cancel games in the event of inclement weather and/or should the weather prove to be damaging to the fields. Practice cancellations will be determined by the head coach.
Make-up Games- In the event of any cancelled games, commissioners and head coaches will coordinate make-up games.
